Our grantees are capable leaders in the fields of education, academic Yiddish, and scientific and medical research. We provide financial support and expert advice to our grantees to help them reach the next level in their work. We provide start-up funding to new and untested nonprofits, grants to existing organizations for new projects, and occasionally, organizational support. Shoresh

The Naomi Foundation supports education policy research by Shoresh Institute for Socioeconomic Research. Founded by leading economist, Dan Ben-David, Shoresh disseminates information across political lines to make sure all leaders can make informed policy to address pressing issues facing Israel today.

ConnectED

ConnectED, a program at OpenDor Media, empowers independent schools educators to lead respectful dialogue about the Israeli-Palestinian story, antisemitism and the Holocaust, Jewish history, and media literacy. ConnectED gives teachers accessible, fact-based resources and mentorship.

Rashi Foundation

Modeled after the KIPP Schools, the Pedagogical Network for Elementary Schools in Israel’s Social and Geographic Peripheries trains teachers and supports individualized learning for students, turning failing elementary schools into environments where kids can thrive.

Life’s Door

The Hope Project trains physicians to engage in “hope enhancement techniques” for patients with cancer and their caregivers. The project offers a new model for the physician-patient relationship and with this grant, it will be studied rigorously and adapted for replication.
