Lior Gepstein Wins Kadar-Sheba Prize for Excellence in Research

The annual $100,000 award—including a $75,000 research grant and a $25,000 personal honorarium—reflects the Foundation’s belief in the unique contribution of clinician-scientists, whose work bridges laboratory discovery and direct clinical impact.
Prof. Lior Gepstein, Director of Cardiology at Sheba, was honored

for his pioneering research in cardiac electrophysiology and regenerative medicine. His work on developing new systems for electrical mapping of the heart has transformed approaches to treating arrhythmias and advanced understanding of heart function.
